The hit HBO television show Game of thrones, based on George R. R. Martin epic fantasy book, will end at the Season 8. The season 7 of the show is in the making process. Fans now only will be left by two seasons of the “game”. Who will sit on the throne is still unclear to the fans. Major houses failed in getting the throne, while the other are trying to rise againt. Fans already know war is not a fair game and anything is expected with Game of thrones. But you should know the directors and exectives thoughts about making of the new seasons of Game of thrones.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, executive producer and show runners, made it official that they will be finalizing the its 8th season.
“Yes, they have a very specific plan about the number of seasons, they want to do,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys told EW. “Believe me, as the new programming executive coming in, if I could get them to do more. I would take 10 more seasons. But we take their lead on what they think they can do the best version of the show.”
The length of the Season 8 wasn’t confirmed by David Benioff; however, he has his interest in taking the season to at least 6 episodes in total.

Casey Bloys, HBO programming president, expressed his thoughts by saying, “It’s something I’m not opposed to, but of course it has to make sense creatively. I’m not sure that Benioff and Weiss could really wrap their heads around it when they’re just about to start production on season 7. … I’m open to it. The guys weren’t opposed to it, but there are no concrete plans for it at this point.”

The series is running successfully for about 6 years and had already won 23 nominations, including several Prime Time Emmy’s. Winter might already have come in the Westeros; however, fans still have to wait for quite some while until as they say, “when will the next Summer is coming”.
